World Apparel Fiber Consumption Survey — December 2006

The survey provides data on trade by fiber and major product category (cotton, wool, flax, cellulosic and non-cellulosic fibers) for 113 countries and 13 regions between 2000 and 2004 and between 2000 and 2005 for China (Mainland). Consumption available for final use and industrial consumption presented by fibers.

The methodology used in processing data and definitions of major items covered by the survey are the same as in previous FAO surveys done prior to 1995. The new FAO/ICAC survey covers 96% of world end-use fiber consumption and 99% of world mill consumption of textile fibers.

A CD-ROM with workable files is included with the hard copy publication. The CD also includes the 2004 edition of the Survey
