Registrations have been increasing for the International Cotton Advisory Committee’s (ICAC) 77th
Plenary Meeting, scheduled for 2-6 December, 2018, in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
The conference — which will be held at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire under the theme, ‘Cotton Challenges: Smart and Sustainable Solutions’ —
has seen a rapid rise in the number of registrations in the past month, and as a result rooms in the conference hotel are going quickly.
The ICAC and the Organising Committee in Abidjan have reserved blocks of rooms at the conference hotel and several others nearby. However, the reserved rooms and discounted rates are only guaranteed until 15 October, 2018

More than half of the available speaking opportunities have already been filled. Many of cotton’s top scientists and innovators will share their insights on cotton’s greatest challenges and opportunities, including:
· The use of drones and robotics;
· Pesticide resistance;
· New developments in biotechnology; and
· Refuting the cotton myths and misinformation perpetrated in the media.
