ALIDA was establish over 25 years ago with a mandate to facilitate communication among cotton researchers in Latin America. The meeting this year is being held during the ICAC Plenary Meeting. Consequently, the issues discussed will not be limited to Latin America alone but will address cotton production research in general. The Secretariat of the Committee publishes information related to world cotton production, supply, demand and prices, and provides technical information on cotton production technology. Detailed statistics are found bimonthly in COTTON: Review of the World Situation, $190 per year via email, $230 per year in hard copy. A monthly outlook is available by email for $300 per year.
