The Technical Information Section has been run by Chief Scientist Dr Keshav Kranthi since he joined the ICAC in 2017. The mandate of the Technical Information Section is to provide updates on cotton production research; gather information pertaining to cotton research programs and make it available to researchers; and develop lines of communication among researchers.

Currently produced as a digital PDF, the ICAC is currently working to convert the publication into a dynamic, searchable, online resource that provides a wealth of information about all cotton-producing countries, including:
The research part of the publication focuses on research systems, variety approval processes, funding sources, input supplies (seed, fertiliser and pesticides), technology transfer with cotton maps for various countries and a list research institutions/organization, farmers associations, ginners association and textile associations.
