75^th Plenary Meeting of the ICAC

The Government of Pakistan has decided to make the technical tour available free of charge to participants in the 75^th Plenary Meeting of the ICAC in Islamabad. All plenary meeting participants are invited to join the tour, in which the Executive Director and other members of the Secretariat will take part.

The three-day Technical Tour includes visits to a modern denim factory, Faisalabad (the hub of agricultural research in Pakistan) and the second largest salt mine in the world. Buses for the Technical Tour will leave from the Serena Hotel on 4 November 2016 at 1 p.m., immediately after lunch. The tour will conclude on 6 November 2016 in Islamabad at around 6 p.m.

The Ministry of Textile Industry, Government of Pakistan will fully sponsor the costs (including hotel) of the technical tour for all participants in the 75^th Plenary Meeting. However, participants must register in advance for the tour. For registration, please send an email with full address and contact details to Dr. M. A. Talpur at dmer@pccc.gov.pk with a copy to icac.mintex@gmail.com no later than 15 October 2016. Registrations received after the cutoff date may not be entertained due to administrative reasons, although the facility may be extended subject to availability of hotel rooms in Faisalabad. The buses will arrive back Islamabad on 6^th November 2016 at about 6 p.m. and participants may plan to catch their flights on the same day.
